About Me
I am a native of Brescia, Italy where I lived for 28 years.  I was strongly attracted to painting in my early
teens and have built on that interest over the years.  Ever since I happened on the ASUC Ceramics
Studio at University of California Berkeley I have been swept up in the world of artistic expression
through clay.  My Italian heritage has kindled within me strong feelings for her art forms.  I have found a
way to combine these feelings with my love for clay and painting, by Handcrafting my Maiolica clay forms
on the pottery wheel and painting on the Maiolica glaze.  I throw and decorate forms ranging from cups
and plates to Grecian Urns and Tile Tables.  I particularly enjoy taking a classic shape in new directions;
as exhibited by the recent addition to my product line of Zampa Elephant Foot vases.
